
What does the Working Group do?
The Legal and Regulatory Working Group of HUBA supports the Hungarian implementation of the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542), interprets and reviews other industry-related legislation, participates in legislative preparation, and informs and prepares members professionally.
What are its main objectives?
Its objectives include supporting the successful implementation of the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542) in Hungary, representing industry interests in regulatory processes, providing up-to-date legal information to members, supporting the establishment of the Battery Industry Market Surveillance Authority and Competence Center, and reducing compliance risks.
Who can join?
The Working Group primarily welcomes battery manufacturers, distributors, recyclers, suppliers, and any stakeholders across the battery value chain who are affected by the EU Battery Regulation or related Hungarian legislation.
